Day 2 Warm Springs Lodge

5"x20" oil
12"x14" oil

4 1/2" x18" oil/ceramic tile

Day 2 was relatively warm and sunny. I did 2 plein air works and a still life. The frozen creek painting is of Sherman creek. I saw the nice color and light effect so pulled the car over and set up with one easel leg in the creek. Painted rapidly(35 minutes) and quit.

Welcome back Brian!
Your work looks great. I LOVE the middle, very blue one! What beautiful colors and shapes.

Thanks Loriann. When I saw that frozen creek with the amazing light I had to do a you u-turn! I've never set up so quickly. I nearly got hit by a truck but was able to slide down the bank and set up the gloucester. It really was all about the shapes, light and color. I can honestly say it was done so quickly that I wasn't sure how it was turning out but now I think it works. I'm still tweaking some of the others but this one will be left alone. Thanks again,Brian. Now I'm going to get caught up with your new stuff!
