regression

11"x14" all 3

Fell back into basic landscape mode. Might add vertical element. Not sure. Might just have to go back to observation. Or not. Tomorrow will tell.

You may not recognize it but Wayne Thiebaud is an influence. Remember the knife still life stuff. I love his answers in this interview.

There's something very restful about these simple landscapes. I'd say they're sweet, but Thiebaud owns sweet. What a nice man. Thanks for posting his interview.

Restful and peace full I hope. Yeah, he owns sweet. I don't even eat the stuff but it sure does look good.

Hi Brian , I usually don't take the time to watch clips posted on blogs, but i am glad i did this time. I love the way Thiebaud said he knew people wouldn't take his work seriously, but he knew he had to do it. I think I see why it resonates with you at this time. I think you are in the mist of finding your "just desserts" now. These skyscapes are delicious!

Thanks Loriann. I'm with you. Most youtube blog clips are "clog blips". Just useless info. I'm trying to build a full understanding of a perspective. A take on life. Not a Jesus complex, just some insight into a working artists life. Most folks have other things to do but for now I do this. I like what you put into your blog as well. The interviews are great and good references too. Rest assured if I put up a visual artists clip I think you'll like it. The music stuff who knows. Keep on truckin.
