Toast

30"x40" oil
Pardon the poor picture quality. I've sat roasting in the Hamptons for 3 days trying to sell my work. It was in the 90s. Got home to Harrisburg..... it's over 100 degrees f. My studio is about the same. I picked this scene from our trips to California. It might need tweaking... I'm off to Madison WI. tomorrow. I remember the cool air around pebble beach. Trying to recapture it...........

Hope your "roadhouse" has AC. I know it's hard to believe, but the heat is slowly breaking. Thanks for posting Pebble Beach. Hope it helped.

Hey Sam, the sprinter has no AC. I'm basically a roasted turkey when I sleep in it. Even while driving I suppose! At any rate I'm in an air conditioned hotel tonight on the way to Madison Wisconsin. It's a crazy life but I can't wait for tomorrow!and the next day...the next day.......the next day........

Love the painting! It reads like a small painting, but it is actually large. Keeping the spontaneity in the brush strokes and expression is sometimes difficult at that size. Congrats!

Thanks Sally. Indeed, it can be difficult to resist detail and trust the stroke.
