Chincoteague Virginia Paintings

8"x16" oil/linen panel
Did this one from a photo stored on the laptop from fall Chincoteague excursion. Plein air work was fun but the skeeters were eating me alive so I took some snapshots to work from.

Painting from photos can be a freeing experience, after all. 'Specially when the skeeters are a plein pain in the butt. It certainly didn't curtail that wide open feeling in this painting.
