Definitely a good way to keep things in perspective, value-temp.-etc..

Thanks again for the great documentation!brian eppleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13303309396470697389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2160433707568500595.post-91367056200079725632009-03-15T19:59:00.000-07:002009-03-15T19:59:00.000-07:00Love the knifework!!I never premixed colors until ...Love the knifework!!

I never premixed colors until I took Frank's class. I can really see the benefit now and will really work at doing that in my plein air efforts!!Marian Fortunatihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11107085447074524162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2160433707568500595.post-43305848676763694272009-03-15T17:46:00.000-07:002009-03-15T17:46:00.000-07:00I did too Jala!Good question Loriann. A touch of lemon yellow (cool) was used in the highlight. The backround involves some cool colors. The warm palette consists of cad orange (predominate) cad yellow med. cad. red med. A bit of thaylo blue in dark areas.

For many years I premixed but got away from it when I started plein air work. The idea of mixing paint for an hour only to lose the light and a palette full of paint was not a good prospect.

Did I stray? unfortunately yes on the first one. I got sloppy. On the second one (single version) I stuck to the goal.brian eppleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13303309396470697389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2160433707568500595.post-81355558989561941592009-03-15T13:42:00.000-07:002009-03-15T13:42:00.000-07:00I love your new fruit series.
