I felt like I had all day to paint but still painted rapidly. The light wasn't about to change.

I really like your essential question. I think I probably do that now to some extent but my job does affect my decisions. I'm currently redesigning the website for the "real job". That stuff takes up time and staring at the computer for so long I just can't muster up the eye strength to search additional bloggers, artists etc... I see so many great artists on the others and your site that I'm not sure I can add anything new.

No, you didn't go on a tangent. I understand completely.brian eppleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13303309396470697389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2160433707568500595.post-81588389239427972572009-03-28T12:48:00.000-07:002009-03-28T12:48:00.000-07:00Talk about the beauty of a limited palette filled ...Talk about the beauty of a limited palette filled with subtlety! really nice color! The river was beautiful today, wasn't it? But then again, there is never a day when it is without its crown.

Brian, you are excused for the tardiness of your tagging duties, after all it is the painting that matters. It was Richard Mckinley who taught me my essential question. (An essential question is one which all the decisions in your life have to pass through.) Mine is, "Is it good for the painting? (the life of painting)" Which means when asked to do something, like be an officer for the local art organization, the first question is, Is it good for the painting? If I feel it will take time and the equation is not in the practice of painting's best interest, the answer is no. It has made life much simpler. It has really helped me negotiate my responsibilities to my part-time job. (The one that pays the mortgage.)
Boy I sure went off on a tangent.
take a deep breath and enjoy painting!
Lloriann signorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16738796573576452724noreply@blogger.com
